I think we can all agree that the Shein bikini sets need to be put to rest, here are some suggestions to help you find the cutest and most reliable suits this summer:
I am sure you have seen just as much as we have about the Djerf Avenue x Frankies Bikinis collection. Let's just say that I didn't know what perfection was until this collection dropped. These bikinis are both timeless and trendy all at once; justifying the scary price. This collection is bringing our coastal, put-together dreams to life with the different stripe patterns featured on their bikinis.
Strawberry Milk Mob quickly caught my attention for its flattering styles and unique prints. I actually discovered this brand through TikTok, and before you skip this paragraph, no they are not over-worn. However, after more time exploring their website, I noticed the many elevated basics they have. For example, their Tuxedo Set is an amazing spin on your classic black and white bikini. Not only is the owner of this business one of my favorite creators, but she also has the best summer wardrobe, reflected through her designs on these bikini sets.
For our sustainability-focused girls, Dippin' Daisys is hands down one of the best sustainable bikini brands. Their sets are very floral, dainty, and girly while also staying timeless. Their bikinis are very good quality and last for many years of use. Their prints range from a basic solid color set to unique floral prints. Their designs and material allow for their bikinis to be worn for many seasons, and not just the summer you bought them. They can be your go-to for all bikini needs!
A brand with very similar styles is Carolina K, their one-pieces and sets come in unique prints that resemble my “European summer” Pinterest board. Their styles would be perfect for that family vacation you have planned! Not only do they come in many different prints, but there are also many different coverage options and even a one-piece in the corresponding prints to the bikini sets. This brand is a must-visit when planning for that annual family beach trip.
A trend I have been loving is the bikini top charm accessory. This elevates a basic bikini from overdone, to unique all because of a charm that's added to their tops. The Bydee sets are perfect for that upcoming tropical vacation, and even more perfect for the pictures you will take on the beach. Most bikinis I have seen that follow this trend have the ability to add a charm to any bikini, however, this brand has designed each charm specific to the top ensuring the charm and pattern tie together perfectly.
Lastly, one of my personal favorites is Blackbough Swim. This brand has bikinis for just about any occasion. Their different patterns are perfect for both the girls who love their neutrals and the girls whose beach uniform always consists of at least one bright color. They have a large selection of bikini sets and are typically the first site I visit when I am looking for a new set to add to my collection.
With swimsuit season upon us, it is important to wear styles, colors, and patterns that we love! Let's spend less time worrying about how the bikinis look on us from every angle and remember that both our bodies and the bikinis are perfect without any changes being made to them. It is so easy to pick out parts of ourselves that we are not completely satisfied with when we are looking at ourselves with that new swimsuit that just came in the mail. Let's remind ourselves that our bodies are not only perfect the way that they are, but that our bodies are the reason we can be living, breathing, and enjoying all of our memories this summer. Swimsuits are meant to fit you and make you feel good, not the other way around!
