Being amidst the summer months, having a makeup routine that helps achieve the perfect summer glow is unbeatable. We have kept our eyes on Sephora's new releases and helped create the perfect set of staple products for your summer look, from a relaxing beach day to a night out with your best friends; these products will help you achieve the summer look of your dreams.
Starting with the most important for the upcoming summer months, an SPF product. We do not need premature wrinkles around here. Kosas DreamBeam Mineral Sunscreen with Ceramides and Peptides can be either a base for your makeup or can be worn with a tint to the beach to achieve the “no makeup makeup look”. If you are looking for something a bit more full coverage, the Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tiny Hydrating Foundation Stick is a newer release from Charlotte Tilbury and it has been living up to the brand's expectations. It goes on glowy and can be built up to the coverage you desire. This makes the product very versatile as you can wear it for a light day look, or as a staple in your going-out makeup routine.
The Makeup by Mario Softsculpt Multi-Use Bronzing and Shaping Serum has completely overtaken my feeds (A+ PR team); so grab this one while you can, trust me. This pairs perfectly with the foundation stick for a very seamless “glass skin” like makeup look. Serving as a more lightweight alternative for powder bronzer in the summer months. Another product that I have seen nothing but good reviews on is the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick, it comes in both a full size and a mini if you can’t commit to the full size. This blush gives the illusion of a healthy cheek tint that can also be used on your lips to tie your whole face of makeup together. But, we aren't done with our flawless, dewy base yet. The Merit Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm is perfect for an everyday glow. Being a balm, it creates a much more seamless blend compared to a powder highlighter. This product could even be used on your eyes to create a shimmery eye look for your next night out. If a shimmery eye is not what you reach for, do not worry because the Armani Beauty Liquid Eyeshadow is a perfect alternative. It comes in 6 different matte shades that are perfect for any look. Being an eye tint, it is much more subtle compared to a powdered eye shadow, so keep this in mind when picking your shade!
Lastly, the make or break of the makeup look: mascara. My go-to is the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara, it is very buildable and starts out as a natural lengthening mascara that gives your lashes a nice lift and tint. It can be built to create a more dramatic eye, depending on your plans and mood. On the topic of lash lift and tint, the Refy Lash Sculpt Lengthen and Lift Mascara is perfect for a natural lash look as well. The applicator is designed to lift your lashes into place lengthening and giving them a great structure. While this mascara can be built, I have noticed this mascara looks better without multiple layers for a more effortless look. This summer our lashes WILL be touching our eyebrows.
