Get your credit cards ready, and save up on your Nordstrom’s notes, because the Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is around the corner. What is known as many shopper’s Super Bowl, the Anniversary Sale is not one to miss. For those of you who don’t know what the anniversary entails, don’t worry. Written by a Nordstrom insider, I have got you covered. I have been preparing for this momentous event, or as my boss calls it, “Christmas in July” since my first day (nearly over a month ago). So, it is my honor — and honestly job— to introduce you to this year’s Anniversary themes, trending styles, and all the juicy details that follow.
Let me first start by answering the question: what is the Anniversary Sale anyway, and why do customers go crazy for it? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale marks THE time to start preparing for your fall and back-to-school wardrobe, featuring a limited-time sale on new season arrivals, starting July 15 for everyone. After August 5, the prices will go back up. However, if you are a Nordstrom card member, you have access to these great deals and hot products before the sale becomes open to everyone. If that’s you, listen up! Icons get early access beginning July 9, Ambassadors get early access beginning July 10, and Influencers get early access beginning July 11.
Everyone can preview the sale now, as the site went live with the Anniversary product on June 27 at 12:00 p.m. EST. There is a lot to be seen on the Anniversary Sale site. Wish lists are available to create and are encouraged, allowing customers to save the products they love until they become available for purchase in mid-July. Customers can RSVP to events through the website as well, including several jewelry trunk shows, and even a wish list-building livestream led by Nordstrom editorial director Kate Bellman. Plus, the bottom of the site offers free style help from a stylist in your nearest Nordstrom location.
Now, we move along to the fun part: the products, of course! This year's anniversary theme is the supermarket. Think versatile, wearable transition pieces that will leave you looking trendy in your local supermarket and set for seasons to come. While navigating through the fashion supermarket, look out for ripe brands like Vince, Veronica Beard, Adidas, Charlotte Tilbury, and UGG. Most importantly, pay close attention to the grocery list of the top 10 “it-list” items written by Nordstrom women’s fashion director Linda Cui Zhang. Follow the list below:
