The girlfriend that was there after you saw your situationship making out with another girl at Crate? The girlfriend who is always down to muk? The girlfriend who listens? The girlfriend who enables your bad decisions because she knows you will only learn through experience? Our girlfriends have saved our lives in more ways than one, and it may be time to show them a little extra love.
For the girlfriend who actually calls you out on your SH*T!:
An apology, probably. Maybe buy her a round or two next time you ladies hit the town. We know her, we love her (most times), and we appreciate the realness. At least she knows you well enough to understand that you will only learn from your own mistakes and not the mistakes of others — perhaps your girlfriends are also the lessons we’ve learned along the way!
For your chic-est girlfriend:
An evening of Pinterest-ing by candlelight with the world’s greatest rom-coms (e.g.: 13 Going on 30, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 27 Dresses, etc) playing in the background. Followed, of course, with a sleepover and a Hot Girl Walk to coffee in the morning (on you).
For the girlfriend who is always down to muk:
Paying for her next Weightless Wednesday excursion. Yes, babe, I know. But it’s only six dollars. Be fucking for real.
For the girlfriend who listens:
A new pajama set, some popcorn, cozy blankets, and her choice of a movie on. It’s time you listen to something that comes from her world instead of yours.
For the best friend (twin flame, sister, etc…):
A reminder that she has improved your life in more ways than one. Where would I be without you? You have saved my life and you can barely even comprehend it!
