Travis and Kourtney are Engaged!
And we woke up thinking it was all a dream.

If your Instagram feed looks anything like mine, it is flooded with photos from Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s stunning engagement Sunday night. Countless friends and family members posted pics of the happy couple as the news broke the Internet. After Travis got Kourtney’s name tattooed on his chest back in May, this event was not too unexpected, but it did happen sooner than we expected.

Kourtney took to Instagram Sunday night to confirm the engagement herself with a romantic post captioned “forever.” According to TMZ, Travis popped the question on the beach near a hotel in Montecito, California. The sand was covered with hundreds of red roses and plenty of candles. It can’t get more romantic than that. Their families were both in attendance, and many posted photos from the elegant dinner that followed the engagement.

Kris Jenner, along with Kourtney’s sisters, Kendall, Kylie, Kim, and Khloe, were all present at the dinner, along with Travis’ daughter Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 18, as well as stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 22. Kendall posted a zoomed-in image of Kourtney’s insanely gigantic and beautiful oval-shaped diamond ring. Both families are ecstatic for the couple.

“Kravis” feels to me like it has been around for plenty of time, but the couple has only been “officially” dating since February of this year. However, Kourtney has had a friendly relationship with the Blink-182 musician for many years prior. Sources also mentioned that they were “casually dating” since December 2020. A Kardashian family source told PEOPLE that “Travis just adores Kourtney. He treats her like a princess and is a great guy.”
Following the engagement news, many were concerned about how Scott Disick, Kourtney’s long-term boyfriend and father of her three children, was reacting to all of the news. The two had a fairly rocky relationship but continued to remain close friends and co-parents. Disick and Kardashian broke up in 2015, but sources stated he was “really sad” about the engagement and “feeling low,” even though he assumed they would eventually be getting engaged. In the back of Scott’s mind, however, he hoped one day that he and Kourtney would be able to reunite their family again.

Disick has expressed disapproval for the relationship before. Earlier this year, Kourt’s ex Younes Bedjima posted DMs from Disick making fun of her new relationship. Disick also allegedly has a new love interest, Elizabeth Grace Lindley. Despite all of this, Scott continues to show support for Kourtney as a mother and for the 3 children they share.
This is Kourtney’s first marriage, and she “can’t wait to marry Travis.” I am excited to see what the future holds for them. Not to mention their wedding will be spectacular. Congrats to Kourtney and Travis!
