Step Up Your Beach Style

#RestingBeachFace

Summer is finally here, which means it’s time to head to the beach and soak up the sun. But before you take a trip to the nearest ocean, it’s important to look and feel your best. Here are six beach trends every UGirl should rock this summer, as shown by some of your favorite fashion bloggers.

Woven accessories

Your favorite beach bag from 2012 looks cute and all, but why not mix it up? Carry all of your belongings in style with a woven bag. If you’re into the matchy-matchy look, slip on a pair of woven sandals to complete the outfit. Soon enough you’ll be giving off relaxed, beachy vibes just like blogger @annarvitiello

Fun prints

Ditch your solid black and white bikinis, and replace them with bold and colorful suits. Because summer is the perfect time to be spontaneous, wear a beach outfit that will be sure to make a statement. From leopard print, to gingham, to polka dots, to stripes, the options are endless.

Chunky chains

Wearing jewelry to the beach has been a trend for a few years now, but don’t limit yourself to only necklaces and bracelets. Chains have a completely new function this summer- wrapping them around your clothes. If you decide to wear a solid-colored swimsuit to your next beach outing, consider adding a chain like blogger @jourdansloane to add texture to an otherwise plain look. Or stick with some chunky necklaces to go along with your bikini. Either way, this addition will make your outfit look much edgier than your average beachwear.

Belted bathing suits

Swimsuits that can pass as clothes are trendier than ever. Want to join in on the trend? Try the new Onia x WeWoreWhat bathing suit collection, which features built-in belts. Not only do the belts create a flattering silhouette, but they are also the perfect addition to a somewhat simple swimsuit. If you’re not a huge fan of the belt, no need to worry; it’s removable so you can totally wear the suit on its own. Featuring the hottest colors of the season, red and orange, this collection will definitely help you stand out and stay on trend.

Big statement hats

Although sunglasses usually do the trick, on days when the sun feels stronger than ever, you definitely need a bit more coverage. Luckily, straw hats are a huge trend this summer, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding one. When picking one out for the beach, go for a bold, wide-brimmed straw hat. You don’t need to stick to the typical tan color either. Mix it up with a black hat and pull it off with a black and white gingham suit like blogger @mvb

Cat-eye sunglasses

From tiny, vintage sunnies, to bold, wide-framed ones, sunglasses are the perfect way to complete any look. Because the classic cat-eye shape is back and better than ever, it’s time for you to upgrade your standard black cateye sunglasses. Trade them in for influencer approved reflective, patterned or bright frames.

Whether you’re heading to the beach for the day or going on an exotic vacation, make sure to take the hottest trends along with you! Update your typical beachwear wardrobe with these hot summer trends.
