Dining by the Sea Style Guide

Never stress about your beachy dinner look again.

We've all been there. You’re about to head out to dinner, when you take one last look in the mirror and decide you absolutely despise your outfit. Next thing you know, you are surrounded by piles of clothes on the floor.

Avoid this sticky style situation with one of these five beach dinner looks.

Fun flare

White skinny jeans are an obvious staple during the summer, but why not shake things up by rocking a pair of flared jeans instead? Putting a trendy spin on a wardrobe classic, a flared detail will set your look apart from others. Versatile white flare jeans couple nicely with lace up sandals and a ruffle top.

For a dressier look, pair them up with heels and a bodysuit.

The best part about wearing white bottoms is that you have the opportunity to wear a bold colored top without looking like the Teletubbies. Make sure to grab a straw clutch to complete the look!

Comeback capris

Instead of reaching for your favorite medium wash skinny jeans, pull out a fun pair of kick flare capris for a different look. Making a huge comeback this summer, cropped flare jeans are praised by streetstyle’s biggest “It Girls,” like Alexa Chung and Bella Hadid. This unique twist on the usual skinny style will definitely turn heads. Worn with a tube top and espadrilles, or even heels, these jeans can be easily dressed up and down.

Yellow is the new black

Step out of your comfort zone with a bright yellow bodysuit! Yellow has officially replaced millennial pink as the “it” color of summer 2018, according to Marie Claire and Vogue, so you don’t want to pass up this opportunity to wear it. Whether you pair this happy color with a patterned skirt, your go-to boyfriend jeans or a classic denim skirt, you can’t go wrong! To tie the look together, drape a white denim jacket on top, and throw on a pair of white summer sneakers.

Effortless jumpsuit

If you are in a rush for a dinner plan, it’s time to pull that new jumpsuit out of your closet. Not only are jumpsuits a hot trend, but they are also an effortless way to look put together without wasting any time. Because it’s usually hard to stumble upon one that fits perfectly, definitely buy it when you do.

Bonus points if you can find a cute patterned jumpsuit with flattering cutouts!

Wear one with platform espadrilles for a casual dinner at the lobster shack, or with strappy heels for a night out with your girlfriends. Don’t forget to grab your favorite pair of sunnies on your way out.

Ready to go romper

Show off your tan with a fun n’ flirty romper! For a trendier look, find one with fun stripes, buttons or frills. Rompers are the easiest look to complete because they are completed looks. Not to mention, they are super comfortable.

Because rompers make for simple ensambles, you can totally have fun experimenting with accessories. Try on some jewelry, for example. A fun pair of dangly earrings, a layered necklace or a couple of gold bangles are all perfect final touches. But if you’re not a jewelry girl, tie a scarf around your neck, ponytail, bag or wrist for a pop of color.

When the sun goes down, make sure to slip into a denim jacket or cardigan to keep you warm.

With these looks in your back pocket, you’ll never struggle with picking out a summer dinner look again!
