Have you ever sat in front of your closet, overwhelmed with choices and wishing you had the “Clueless” closet? Welcome to Closai!
Closai is a groundbreaking AI fashion app founded by Allison Reilly that’s designed to revolutionize how you interact with your wardrobe by digitizing your closet. If you've ever found yourself stressed over your closet, Closai is here to streamline the process and make it feel effortless.
The CEO joined UGirl on a Zoom call to discuss the app on Monday night. She explained how she initially started in the financial field and decided later on to start her own business. She also talked about how the app has changed and evolved over the past couple of months, proving how ever-changing fashion and technology can be.
The core function of Closai is to capture and catalog your fashion purchases from trusted retailers, such as Shopbop and Net-a-Porter, allowing you to visualize your entire wardrobe in a professional digital format. Instead of sifting through cluttered hangers and piles, you can browse high-quality, standardized product details at your fingertips. The app employs a proprietary framework, ClosetizeTM, combined with advanced AI technology to create a unique, fully connected fashion ecosystem centered around the individual user's experience.
One of the standout features of Closai is its ability to effortlessly import your purchase history. Using limited, read-only access to your email, the app identifies and catalogs purchases from a designated list of retailers, enabling users to kickstart their digital closet with eligible items purchased over the past five years, while automatically adding new purchases as they occur. This seamless integration is designed to save you time and hassle, focusing on styling rather than inventory management.
Another added benefit of the app is how it promotes sustainable shopping. When you go to search for an article of clothing on the app, it pulls up what is already in your closet, showing you what you own first to decrease overbuying. Of course, there is still an option to view what you can buy, but the app previews what’s in your closet first.
If you want to incorporate pieces you didn’t buy online, there are options. You can either find the receipt and upload it or take a picture and upload it. You can search for products, upload screenshots or take photos, ensuring every item in your digital closet is cohesive and accurately represented.
For added convenience, each user is provided with a personal email alias specifically for Closai, making it easy to forward purchase confirmation emails from any email provider directly to your Closai alias. The app will take care of the rest — no need to worry about changing email content.
Additionally, the app tracks your returns so your closet stays up to date and you don’t have to worry about editing it yourself. The app also keeps track of what is returned. If you want to buy a product again, you know what did and didn’t work.
As fashion and technology continue to intertwine, apps like Closai represent the future of how we engage with our personal style. This kind of innovation not only simplifies everyday decision-making but also reshapes the way we think about our closets, our consumption and our creativity. With the rapid rise of fashion tech, and with tools becoming smarter, more intuitive and more personalized, it’s exciting to imagine how platforms like Closai will continue to evolve and redefine the modern wardrobe experience.
