Sabrina Carpenter’s Stylistic Rebrand

It took a while for Sabrina Carpenter to emerge into the star she is today. Before she became our  current pop princess, her relevance and fans came from her Disney days.

As Carpenter’s career evolved over time, her personal style did too. Recently, Carpenter has defined her style as ultra-feminine and flashy — but she was not always styled this way.

Carpenter’s career kicked off when she played the role of Maya on Girl Meets World, the hit Disney Channel spin-off series. On the show, her character dressed in fringe, patterns, denim and graphic tees. This edgy appearance starkly contrasts with Carpenter’s current style in real life.

Like her on-screen persona, Carpenter's style earlier in her career consisted of modest and basic clothing. Instead of her staple sparkles we see her wearing now, 2014 Carpenter often wore plaid in different colors — like at the 2014 T.J. Martell Foundation Family Day Red Carpet and the LA Premier of "Vampire Academy".

Later on, Carpenter experimented with more complex silhouettes like her dazzling silver and black jumpsuit she wore to the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and her show-stopping two-piece worn to the 2024 Met Gala.

The most memorable Carpenter looks are certainly from her Short n’Sweet tour in the more recent years. New music brought us a new Sabrina — one that wears glitter and corsets. Carpenter put the graphic tees and plaid patterns in the past. She utilizes hearts, bows and pastel colors to enhance her dazzling outfits that literally shine on stage

Anything Carpenter does, she does it in style. It is not just her clothes that easily define her aura —it is also a signature blow-out, a blush-heavy makeup look and chunky heels. Her vibe and well-loved music discography led to many young girls flaunting femininity just like Carpenter.
