Why the pixie was a power move.

Kim Kardashian with a pixie cut? Wig or not, I’m obsessed.

Wearing a sophisticated, sculpted black corset bodysuit, a black sheer skirt and an elegant shearling leather jacket draped effortlessly over her shoulders, Kim Kardashian left us reeling as she stepped out into Paris Fashion Week for the Alaïa Spring 2026 show. But what really turned heads wasn’t the outfit— it was the hair: a sleek black pixie cut, with wispy bangs.

Even if it was just a wig, it was undeniably a statement.

Channeling her inner Kris Jenner and mother’s signature look, this bold and dramatic transformation from her long hair was perfect enough to exude confidence and control, leaving audiences wanting to know more.

Just three weeks earlier, Kim dropped her innovative NikeSKIMS partnership on Instagram (September 26th), expanding her brand beyond just shapewear and comfort. This new collab was designed to sculpt and support all bodies, leaving customers ready for any gymware needs. The timing of her new pixie couldn’t be more strategic, as it amplifies SKIM’s vision of power, performance and confidence.

Other popular icons are also following the short hair trend— and honestly, I’m here for it.

Probably my favorite, Selena Gomez’s haircut for her wedding with Benny Blanco on September 27th, showcases an elegant bob with a side part. This hairstyle is one of the reasons why I fully support the Italian lob (a longer, fuller take on a regular bob), and its emergence as a fall fashion trend

In Vogue’s September 2025 issue as well, Emma Stone surprises readers with a daring chop; Keke Palmer, Rihanna, Hailee Steinfeld, Zendaya and Emma Chamberlain have also been supporting the short hair movement this year. Even Pamela Anderson swapped her iconic blonde look for a bold auburn cut, proof that we all love and crave a good self-revamp. So, if you're looking for your sign to change it up— here it is.

Even though Kim’s “Paris Pixie” might not last, it was truly a testament to how she can own the room while looking glamorous at the same time. With SKIMS' new release of faux undergarments, one thing’s certain: Kim knows how to make a statement and get pop culture talking.
