The Transformation of Kylie Jenner’s Style

Kylie Jenner has made her mark in the fashion industry from an early age. Jenner is known for her bold looks; particularly, ‘King Kylie’ is labeled her edgier era. Since then, she has continued to experiment with various trends and stylists. Her current style is described as elegant and sophisticated. Fans are correlating her simple style with her new relationship with actor, Timothee Chalamet, and while Jenner’s new style is unexpected for her, she’s received lots of positive feedback.
During the King Kylie era, Jenner’s closet comprised dark, edgy clothing, excessive makeup, and colorful hair. Now, Jenner has completely transformed her closet. While she hasn’t fully ditched her scandalous looks, she’s incorporated a new aesthetic into her wardrobe. The beauty mogul has traded crop tops for white t-shirts and leather pants for baggy jeans. I never imagined Jenner rocking the cottage-core style– wearing a floral maxi dress and pearly Chanel earrings, but I’m here for it, and so are her followers. The simplicity of her outfits reflects her growth as a woman as she embraces her natural beauty.
In correlation to her style transformation, Jenner has recently explored modeling with Acne Studios, a brand founded in Stockholm, Sweden. Acne Studios started with minimalistic designs, primarily focusing on their sweatshirts with logos and denim; however, throughout the past few years, their designs have taken a different approach. Jenner’s campaign with the company was released at the end of August. She’s seen covered in dirt and oil in the images, wearing baggy denim. Seeing Jenner in this light was different and unique; in the campaign, she ditches the LA glam for an undone look. Even though Jenner doesn’t cover herself in mud daily, this collaboration goes along well with Jenner’s new aesthetic, as attempts to strip herself of the Hollywood appearance and is challenging herself to be more natural.
Identifying Jenner’s aesthetic is almost impossible because she continuously changes her style; however, if I were to predict, Jenner will continue to maintain this minimalist style since not only are we loving it, but it seems as if she loves it too. Jenner has been working with the sisters, Alexandra and Mackenzie Grandquist for years and they claim to adore working with Jenner because she pulls off so many different vibes. This leads me to believe that she won’t completely ditch her adventurous outfits considering both her stylists prefer dressing her in a variety of different looks, but only time will tell. With that being said, Kylie, “You’re doing great, sweetie!”
