Our top 3 of 17.

When Miley is in a good mood, we are in a good mood. Before breaking down some of her most iconic looks with Vogue, Cyrus confidently states her positive mindset for the day can be attributed to, “...doing my favorite thing, looking at pictures of myself” (Vogue). That was just too real. For anyone lacking spare time to fully participate in Miley’s favorite activity, here are Ugirl’s top three picks from the video!

#1 2010: Performing at the 1515, Paris

Gen Z has become obsessed with influencers because they are authentic, which is exactly what Miley is conveying here. The star explains that this look served the purpose of reintroducing herself to the world after playing a character, Hannah Montana, for the majority of her teen years. By stacking four Beaumont belts from her own collection, and accentuating her honey-toned brown hair with 250 individual extensions, this outfit marks the beginning of Miley exploring her own style while performing. And let’s be honest, she could still rock the look today. Most Pinterest users would have this outfit saved in their board titled “Summer Fitspo”.

#2 2014: MTV Unplugged, Los Angeles

It is HARD to rock denim on denim. Miss Cyrus, however, does not seem to have a problem with it. This look captures the “Bangerz” era perfectly, from the cute blonde pixie cut to the distressed, sequin-encrusted denim jacket. While we could see girls attending Coachella in this look today, it was a little out of the box for its time. Miley’s outfit is topped off by a gorgeous bedazzled cowboy hat that was custom-made and gifted to her by Madonna, who was performing with her at MTV Unplugged that night. This accessory matches her outfit perfectly, the crisp white looks amazing next to the blue denim. Although, our favorite accessory has to be the iconic, and sometimes a tad controversial, stuck-out tongue.

#3 2019: “Mother’s Daughter” music video

Imagine wearing a matching Chanel set with your mom! (If you are Miley, skip the imagining). These simple, classic Chanel pieces are elevated by maximalist style jewelry, of course also sporting the double C. Both looks are so chic, while also having a little edge with the black leather boots and prominent waist chains. Even better, the outfits go deeper than just the relationship between the mother-daughter duo. Miley explains that the matching look was inspired by her grandmother, who is a “Glamazon” (Vogue). How cute!

Many girls consider Hannah Montana their first style icon, but that was not Miley. It is amazing to see that the artist has been able to grow into her own style over the years! Regardless of what era of Miley fashion we look back on, we can always count on Cyrus to serve us the hottest looks.
