Ladies, we all know we feel good when we smell good. That one little spray of your favorite scent can easily give you that extra boost of confidence you need in order to take on the day. Here is your UGirl approved guide to some of the popular perfumes you need to be wearing this year.
1. Black Opium
Let’s be honest, you’re probably not shocked to see this one on the list. Black Opium by YvesSaintLaurent has been one of the best-selling perfumes since its debut. It has thousands of five-star reviews thanks to its delicious smell of black coffee and white flowers. This perfume is definitely pricey, but totally worth every penny.
2. Ariana Grande Cloud Eau de Parfum
Is there anything Miss Ariana Grande can’t do?! This is a perfume you won’t be saying Thank You, Next to (haha, get it?!). Grande has released multiple perfumes and all of them smell heavenly, to say the least. I know I personally have stopped a girl in the hallway to ask what she was wearing because of this exact perfume. It is a mixture of coconuts, Lavender blossom, and vanilla. It smells absolutely amazing and it’s affordable too? YES PLEASE!

We are continuing the list with another cult favorite. Ladies, this is for all my flower lovers out there. Do you want to smell like the beautiful scents of Spring? This perfume by Gucci makes you smell like a white floral bouquet (perfect for wedding szn) with its hints of jasmine bud, tuberose, and rangoon creeper. IDK if you can tell, but I think I’m in LOVE!
4. Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb
Viktor&Rolf’s Flowerbomb perfume is shaped like a grenade on purpose. With one spray of it, it explodes with the beautiful, feminine smell of vanilla, centifolia rose, jasmine, and orchids. With these ingredients, no wonder it has gained immense popularity. Wearing this perfume makes you smell like you're carrying around a bouquet of flowers. Umm, I don’t want to be gifted plain-old flowers anymore, I want this flower grenade instead!

This is the freshest smell you can find in the market. Mason Margiela’s perfume gives you that feeling of taking a shower after being at the beach all day (a.k.a the best feeling in the world!) on vacation and you’re about to get ready for dinner. It’s the feeling we all wish we could have right now (Thank you, Syracuse weather!). It’s a fresh scent with lemon, coconut milk, and pink pepper. I always need a spritz of this perfume as I’m going from class to class. Such a lifesaver!

I know you’ve been seeing ads for this perfume everywhere, especially on Tik Tok. There’s a reason this perfume is so popular. This vibrant bottle with the cutest flower petal-shaped tops is the perfect summery scent for anyone. Do you want to smell like a mixture of a fresh flower garden? DUH! This Marc Jacobs perfume is perfect for that thanks to its ingredients of wild berries, jasmine, white violet, and sandalwood. Honestly, does it get any better than this?
7. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush
The one you have been waiting for. This Brazilian Crush perfume by Sol de Janeiro has been one of the fastest-growing perfumes after their launch of the Bum Bum cream. This cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and paraben-free perfume is one of the best summary-smelling perfumes you will have on your shelf. What better way to end the list than with a classic: Chanel’s elegant N°5 Perfume. We have all been admiring this perfume after stealing it from our mom’s vanity (Sorry Mom!). It is such a classic and will never not be. Its powdery floral scent with may rose and jasmine makes this perfume so rich. This signature scent could potentially be your new favorite perfume for all seasons to come.
