Summer To Fall Nail Art Trends
I haven’t left my house in six months, but hey, my nails are cute!

With the end of summer quickly approaching, now is the best time to squeeze in some bright summer nails to transition into the fall season. After six months of not leaving my house during quarantine, I definitely gained a lot of nail-painting skills…and maybe just a few too many bottles of polish, but it’s all for the trends! Painting your nails is definitely a fun hobby and a great way to indulge in some self care. Here are some cute nail ideas that can easily transition from summer to fall.
Fruit Nail Art
Watermelon Sugar high!!! Thanks to artists like Harry Styles, nails with fruit inspired designs are on the rise. With so many options ranging from super simplistic cherries, to fun and bright oranges, there is truly something for everyone! Obviously, oranges are the perfect fruit to sport in Syracuse all year long, but you can always mix and match designs to create your own fruit salad vibe. These fun designs are the perfect way to put the cherry on top of your nails!
Multi-Colored Nails
Multi-colored nails are becoming all the more popular. They’re fun, easy, and can be worn in both summer and fall. Use bright rainbow shades to create the perfect summer manicure, and save more muted tones and nude shades for the colder fall months.
Cow Print Nails
Cow print has dominated fashion, phone cases, and bags this year, so why not apply this trend to your nail art?! You can go full ‘moo’ with all of your nails or choose to use it as an accent on one or two. For a secret tip, try using a bobby pin as a tool when trying this trend.
Tortoise Shell Nails
Another animal print trend that has taken over social media is tortoise print! This trend is the perfect replacement for a boring and repetitive nude shade. While incredibly cool and unique, this pattern does seem to be more of an expert level design that may require watching a YouTube tutorial or simply using press-on nails. However you choose to apply the style, you’re guaranteed to look extra chic!
Negative Space Nails
How fun are these negative space nails?! While this design appears detailed and hard to mimic, it’s actually a lot easier than you’d expect and a great style for beginners. Use whichever nail polish colors you already own, blob some polish onto your nails and call it a day!
If you think you can’t give yourself a chic, fun manicure for the summer and fall months, think again! Attacking these trends is a fun activity to do while cooped up inside, and can also be extremely beneficial for your mental health during these difficult times. What are you waiting for? Open your favorite Spotify playlist, bottles of nail polish, and get started!
