New York’s Tribeca Film Festival is finally back in-person with the events, screenings, and discussions that have made it an iconic staple of New York’s arts scene. 20 years ago, the famed Robert Dinero started one of the most prestigious affairs with impressive filmmakers, actors, and producers globally. The festival featured over 250 events with a screening series across the city in a variety of theaters, rooftops, and parks among some of the most iconic venues.

Who were the A-list Celebs on the guest list?

The star-studded guest list included, but was not limited to John Hamm, Robert De Niro, and Al Paccino. Another discussion series included Taylor Swift, Aidy Bryant, and Steve Aoki. Paccino’s appearance is mainly to honor the classic film,  The Godfather on its 50 year anniversary where a remastered version premiered.

How much were the tickets?

The beauty of the festival is that this is a star studded event, however there are no invites and a large supply of tickets to be sold to the public. The Hudson Pass ticket provides viewers with in-person screenings, virtual programming, and a choice to attend opening or closing night galas. Viewers were also given the opportunity to attend red carpet ceremonies among our favorite stars and enjoy chats with directors, producers, and award winning performers.

What happens at the Tribeca Film Festival?

The festival contains ten categories of films and shorts. With over 88 world premieres, live events, and performances by artists including Machine Gun Kelly, and Lil Baby, some of the most inventive, inspirational, and well-styled movies have premiered. While the event was not exclusive, it’s always important to secure the perfect outfit just in case you run into one of your favorite celebs.

Unlike the MET Gala, the Tribeca Film Festival is easy to get into and an overall incredible experience. If you missed your shot to attend this year, DW. There’s always next season to look forward to.
