Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5, known for songs like Payphone, Moves Like Jagger, and This Love, became entangled in controversy last month after Sumner Stroh, an Instagram model, came forward saying that she had an affair with him “for about a year.” Not only are these cheating allegations bad on their own, but Behati Prinsloo, Adam’s wife of eight years, just announced that she is pregnant with their third child.
This entire fiasco began when Stroh posted a TikTok claiming to have a year-long affair with Levine and showing DMs with him. Although they don’t prove an actual affair happened, the DMs are very clearly flirty, and honestly extremely cringy on Adam’s part.
Stroh claims she was “manipulated” into the relationship. "At the time, I was young, I was naive… I was very easily manipulated,” she shares during the video. Months after she and Levine ended their relationship, Stroh says she received another DM saying, “OK. Serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s a boy, I want to name it Sumner. You OK with that? Dead serious.” That’s right, Adam Levine wanted to name his child after his side woman.
Unfortunately, although Summer was brave enough to speak out on the situation, her comments were filled with women attacking her. Come on ladies, she took responsibility. At least she was big enough to share her story.
Ever since Stroh posted the TikTok, four more women have come forward with inappropriate messages from Levine, while he was in a relationship. Sounds like Adam is more than guilty if there are this many victims with claims. The pattern started with a woman named Alyson Rose, who exchanged several messages with Levine after he reached out to her, one of him saying that he realizes he shouldn’t be messaging her. If you realize you shouldn’t be messaging her, then why are you? The next woman to expose Levine was comedian Maryka, who posted a series of flirty messages from him, and the hashtag #ExposeAdamLevine. Then, yoga instructor Alanna Zabel came forward and explained how she used to work with Maroon 5 in 2009 until Levine sent her inappropriate messages, and she asked if it was meant for his girlfriend at the time, Becky Ginos. He ignored the message and later fired Zabel. Unfortunately, now we know that Adam’s cheating tendencies aren’t new, and it's hard to believe he’ll be done for good.
Most recently, fitness model and Auburn University student Ashley Russell shared how the Maroon 5 singer messaged her, complimenting her physique.
After Stroh’s first video went viral, Levine denied cheating on his wife with Stroh or any other woman, however, he did agree that he crossed the line and was inappropriate. Are we really sure about that?
Prinsloo has not publicly responded to his statement, but Stroh did, posting on her story, “Someone get this man a dictionary.” She also posted a second video, apologizing to Prinsloo, after viewers attacked her for playing the victim in the situation.
As for the married couple, an inside source spoke to People, revealing that Prinsloo is just trying to do what is best for her kids. “Their focus right now is just on being the best parents possible," the insider said. "She is hurt and upset, but she is holding back because of the kids." As for Adam Levine, he is taking full responsibility (obviously) and claims this will never happen again.
As for me, I’m just hoping that Behati Prinsloo and her kids are okay.
