Hollywood’s Favorite Couple Is Pregnant With Baby #4
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announce their fourth baby on the Forbes red carpet.

Let’s be honest, everybody in the world envies Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s breathtaking marriage. After meeting on the set of the Green Lantern movie, and soon after, falling in love, the pair became a well-known phenomenon. The power couple is absolutely beautiful, kills it on every red carpet, and is utterly hilarious. A couple of years ago, Ryan even tweeted “No matter which kids book I read to my screaming baby on an airplane, the moral of the story is always a vasectomy.” Well after Blake’s recent appearance on Forbes’ red carpet, it’s pretty apparent that he never got that vasectomy.
On September 15th, 2022, Blake Lively showed up to Forbes’ event wearing a beautiful Valentino dress and a brand new baby bump to go with it. The gold and silver dress highlighted Blakes's body and the sensational curves that come with pregnancy, which her designer paired with a white scarf, headband, platform heels, and earrings. So while she was absolutely glowing on the carpet, the paparazzi remained mostly concerned with the exciting news that baby number four is on the way.
Although the couple has already had three other children, there is something special about the way Blake decided to announce her fourth pregnancy. She showed up to Forbes’ women empowerment event gloriously pregnant, showing off the elegance and femininity of a woman’s body.

Historically, there has always been a stigma around women who get married and start a family. Many believe that in doing so, women relinquish their independence and drive. However, Blake Lively proves the opposite. Not only has she played some of the most influential roles for women in Hollywood, but she has done it all while creating a beautiful family and facing sexism in the industry. Moreover, the characters she embodies on screen are always portrayed with the notion of female success. Having a family should be something to be proud of, and having a career to go along with it is genuinely impressive. So, when Blake shows up to world-renowned events expecting a child, she is proving that moms can do it all—and possibly even better.
The Hollywood “it” couple has always been known for their support of women's equality in today’s generation. In a 2017 interview with “Fashion Week Daily,” Blake spoke about how her husband is always cautious of the gender terminology used in their home. Instead of picking up a stuffed animal and always referring to it as “him,” Reynolds will instead say “she” or “them.” This type of inclusivity truly shows how their marriage is a team effort, compiled of love and support. I mean, it’s definitely something Serena Vanderwoodsen would be proud of.

Speaking of Serena Vanderwoodsen, much like her on-screen character, Blake Lively is always serving the most incredible and fashionable looks, one of which was her 2022 Met Gala gown. Arguably, Lively served us the best look of the night. It is no shock that Ryan Reynolds stared at her in amazement throughout the whole event. Therefore, it is no surprise either, that there’s speculation surrounding the baby being conceived the night of the Met Gala! Since the dates line up, we might even say this one is the most glamorous baby yet!

Although Lively and Reynolds are constantly in the spotlight, the lives of the children are relatively private. The kids—James, Betty, and Inez—are actually most well-known for Taylor Swift naming her songs after them (I guess having one of the most famous singers in the world as your parents’ best friend has its benefits).
Much like her kids, Blake has also kept her pregnancy off the internet. She has only shared a couple of posts, one of which was a photo dump posted September 17th, full of amazing pictures of her and her friends throughout her journey so far. And while she looks glorious in every photo it was the caption of this post that stood out the most: Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone. I know that many fans are looking forward to the birth of their new child and watching as their beautiful family grows. And yes, people all over envy Ryans Reynolds’ knack for comedy, and Blake Lively’s supermodel legs, but the one thing that people should truly desire from the pair is their ability to conquer the world in and outside of their home.
