The rumors end now.

Last week’s episode of The Bachelorette left viewers on a massive cliffhanger, but this week’s episode finally gave us the answers we’ve been dying to hear. Tayshia Adams has officially replaced Clare Crawley as the Season 16 star of The Bachelorette—-and we are SO here for it!

After months of rumors and anticipation, it came to light that the originally cast bachelorette, Clare Crawley only had eyes for Dale Moss, and couldn’t bring herself to complete the remainder of the season. Chris Harrison told viewers how “explosive” and “dramatic” this season is, and after watching this week’s episode, we can confirm that he’s definitely right. While it is assumed that most leads in the franchise tend to know who they are falling for early on, this season was the first time in the show’s history where a lead actually cut their time short to pursue that relationship.

However, this dramatic turn of events did not leave the best taste in the rest of the men’s mouths. The episode opens with some of the men addressing the previous night’s group date, which resulted in Clare deciding not to hand out a rose. The men are understandably frustrated, and seemingly all feel that if Clare were to spend more time with them, there would be a chance she might fall in love. Clare, however, has her blinders on, openly saying in her interviews that she only thinks about Dale. The frustration among the men and Clare’s unwavering commitment to Dale ultimately caused Chris Harrison to show up at Clare’s door for a heart to heart that concludes in a historical decision.

Chris let Clare know that the guys are unhappy, confused, and are aware that she favors Dale. “The path we’re on right now, we can’t continue,” he told her. Clare understood, and it soon became clear that her journey as the Bachelorette was pretty much over. She is still eager to spend time with Dale and tell him how she feels to see if he feels the same way. So Chris, acting as Clare’s personal *fairy-god-father,* organized an overnight date for Clare and Dale, which concluded in them both confessing their love for one another. Awww.

After coming to the conclusion that she will be cutting her time short, Clare shows up to tell the rest of the men that she’s in love with Dale and will be leaving with him. The men were divided in their reactions, with some saying they’re happy for her, and others feeling that Clare wasted their time.

While Clare speaks to the men, Chris meets with Dale to tell him that the next step is a proposal. Keep in mind this is only episode four... Dale has probably known Clare for two to three weeks! Nonetheless, he proposed and they are now engaged, and whether that’s true love or just good TV, we’re at the edge of our seats.

But the show must go on! After successfully helping Clare find love, Chris now has to help the rest of the men on their journey for love. He lets them know that their journey isn’t over and that they need to decide by that evening if they want to stay or not. The men are overwhelmed, questioning if they are over Clare and if they are ready to pursue the new Bachelorette.

After careful consideration, the men decide to come to the cocktail party anxious to meet their new mystery Bachelorette. The episode concludes with viewers watching Tayshia step out of the limo, looking absolutely beautiful in her sequined gown. She walks into the party and “to be continued…” appears on the screen.

Tayshia’s finally here, but who knows how things will play out with her and the rest of the men? Tune in next week to find out!
