Everything You Need to Know About Juice Jam 2021
Jack Harlow? Say no more…
by ASHLEY LUBAS ★ SEPTEMBER 17, 2021
University Union has finally dropped the lineup for Juice Jam 2021 and let’s just say, nobody is disappointed. American rapper Jack Harlow will headline the festival along with B.o.B, Bea Miller, and Audrey Nuna. Last year’s Juice Jam was moved to a virtual setting due to COVID-19, but this year’s festival is confirmed to be an in-person event and we could not be happier. To find out more about Juice Jam 2021, just keep reading.
You may not have heard of Audrey Nuna, but that will definitely change soon. Audrey Nuna is a Korean-American R&B singer and rapper from New Jersey. Recently, she secured a deal with Sony Aristia Records (the same music label that works with Alicia Keys and Carrie Underwood… say less). Despite her relatively small fanbase, one of her most popular songs, “Comic Sans”, reached 3.3M views on Youtube. You’ll definitely want to check her out so you can have bragging rights about knowing her before she got famous.
Next up we have the fabulous Bea Miller. Since beginning her music career on season two of X Factor, Miller has found success in both her singing and acting career. Her hit single “feel something” may be familiar to you. Why? If you have not heard it on the radio, you may recognize it from TikTok. The song gained huge popularity from a “Euphoria Makeup Trend” in which thousands of users posted videos of makeup inspired by HBO’s hit drama “Euphoria” while using the chorus of Bea Miller's song in the background. Even Lizzo joined in on the trend (so you know it's legit). If her music is good enough for Lizzo, it’s definitely good enough for us.
Bobby Ray Simmons, more commonly known by his stage name, B.o.B, is sure to bring you back to the good old days with his classic hits “Airplanes (feat. Hayley Williams)” and “Nothin’ On You (feat. Bruno Mars).” The American rapper has not released a new album since 2010, but we aren’t complaining. His 2000’s throwback songs are sure to make the whole crowd nostalgic.
Last but certainly not least, Jack Harlow will be the headlining this year. If you walked into any frat party, pregame, or tailgate in 2020, you most likely heard Harlow’s hit single “What’s Poppin.” Shortly after the song’s surge in popularity, Jack collaborated with huge rap icons DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne to release a remix of the song that reached the number two spot on the US Billboard’s Hot 100. This year, Harlow’s collaboration with Lil Nas X on “INDUSTRY BABY” also gained them a No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. You can bet that both girls and guys across campus have dreamed of seeing Jack Harlow on stage, and lucky for us, we all get to!
Juice Jam 2021 will take place on September 26th at the North Skytop Lot on South Campus. Doors will open at 12pm and tickets are only $25, which is obviously a steal considering this year’s amazing lineup. Unfortunately, if your hometown friend is the biggest Jack Harlow fangirl you’ve ever met, they’ll have to stay home. This event is closed to SU/ESF students, faculty, and staff. You can purchase your ticket by your Student MyCuse account through TicketMaster AND ENJOY THE SHOW.
