Some people may say there isn’t much to do in Syracuse during the fall season and that there’s only snow and darkness! However, we at UGirl disagree. There are so many options for fun activities to do in Syracuse to get into the fall spirit!

Take a visit to Beak & Skiff apple orchard:

Beak & Skiff is a popular apple orchard not too far from campus that makes for a super fun and festive fall day activity! Who wouldn't want to dress up in their cutest fall outfit, do a little photoshoot, and go apple picking with their friends? Not only do they have tons of apples to choose from at Beak & Skiff, but they also have a store you can pop into after you’re done picking apples with lots of yummy fall themed baked goods and treats.

Hike through the fall foliage:

As you have probably seen, the leaves are starting to turn, and it is absolutely beautiful! One place you can go to see the fall foliage in its prime is Green Lakes State Park. Green Lakes is one of the numerous hiking trails near campus where you can hike and get amazing views of central New York at its finest. Grab a few friends, some snacks, and a speaker and you'll be locked in for a great fall day!

Browse a farmer's market:

Hit up Chuck Hefner's Farmers Market if you’re in need of some fresh fruits and vegetables, or just need a day off campus and want to browse through a little farmer’s market. Going to farmer’s markets is so underrated and more people should do it! You’re able to walk through fresh flowers, smell the different flavored jam, and try out some samples of pumpkin bread. What better way to make you feel at home?
