A Syracuse Food Diary

From breakfast to dessert, here’s a walk through of everyday food on campus

Hungry at Syracuse but don’t know what to eat? No matter if it’s just a snack or a full meal, we’ve got you covered from your 8 a.m. earth science lecture to your late night writing class.

Breakfast:

Early morning classes sometimes don’t give you enough time to grab breakfast. The easiest option is to eat a bar in your room before class because it’s quick and gives you good protein. RXBars (Peanut Butter) are one of our personal favorites. If you do have the extra time in the morning, you can stop by the Starbucks on the corner of Henry Street and East Raynor Avenue by west campus! It’s never busy and takes your SU ID if you have money on your food account.

Lunch:

Food.com (located in Newhouse) has delicious food. They have a sandwich station is our go-to because you can customize it to what you want. Food.com also has smoothies, coffee, and quick grab-and-go snacks like chips, salads, and fruit. This cafe has tables located right outside, so you can get some work done while grabbing a bite.

Midday Snack:

Otto’s Juice Box is a new option this year! It is located right inside the Barnes Center at the Arch. They have an amazing selection of smoothies to choose from. They also have prepackaged salads and fruit cups to fill you up in between class. Plus this is a quick and healthy option to grab after a workout!

Dinner and Dessert:

Varsity Pizza has super cheap and delicious pizza, wings, and salads. This little restaurant is a classic campus gem that brings in people of all ages. If you’re ever looking for a break from dining hall food, Varsity Pizza is the place to go.

To end the day, Sadler dining hall has soft serve that never fails to fix our sweet tooth. They have a selection of frozen yogurt or ice cream and many toppings to choose from. Your day will always end on a sweet note at Sadler!
