Shopping at 3fifteen is like hunting for buried treasure. While you may have to sift through racks of clothing, you will always stumble upon amazing pieces. This local thrift shop is just a few steps away from your dorm, located across from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and connected to Café Kubal in Marshall Square Mall.

As you walk around 3fifteen’s cozy atmosphere, indie music plays in the background while the smell of Kubal’s freshly baked cookies wafts into the storefront. Not to mention, all purchases help fund the Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization that strives to end homelessness and hunger throughout Upstate New York.

Looking for an outfit to wear to class, date night or the next tailgate? Here are four different outfits found at 3fifteen that won’t break your college budget.

You can wear this outfit during a day, out on the town or even just to class. It comes to $20 total! Dress it up with a pair of heeled booties, or dress it down with some cute sneakers. Pair it with your favorite set of shades, and you’ll be turning heads as you walk down the SU promenade. And don’t forget to throw on a pair of tights during the winter months.

Word of advice: The racks at 3fifteen are organized by clothing item and gender. Don’t be afraid to check out the men’s sweater section on the lower level of the store, as some finds are cute and comfy, like the sweater pictured here!

For class

7 For All Man Kind jeans: $15.99, Free People sweater: $24.99

This casual look is a bit pricier as these are branded items, but are still a steal compared to the what the original retailers offer. The sweater is Free People, marked originally at $108.00, but sold at 3fifteen for $24.99. That’s more than 75% off.

The jeans are 7 For All Mankind and marked at $15.99. A typical pair of flare jeans sold on 7 For All Mankind’s website retails for about $200.00. For just under $41.00, you are getting two high-end items that would have been about $308.00. These are quite literally buried treasures waiting to be discovered at 3fifteen.

For date night

 Turtleneck: $12.99, Lace-up skirt: $9.99

If you thought you couldn’t find anything sexy at a thrift shop, think again! Pair this funky, lace-up pencil skirt and turtle neck with your favorite heels, and you’re bound to steal the show at your next classy occasion.

Word of advice: 3fifteen tends to refresh its merchandise selection every week. If you can’t seem to find what you’re looking for one week, try again the next for a whole new assortment.

For a tailgate

 Syracuse sweatshirt: $9.99, Syracuse T-shirt: $6.99

 Syracuse sweatshirt: $9.99, Syracuse T-shirt: $6.99

If you’re not too keen on rocking bright orange at SU sporting events, this look is perfect for you. But if orange really is your favorite color, 3fifteen has an entire section dedicated to vintage SU attire, and oversized T-shirts that you can cut and style to your liking.

This top and sweatshirt paired with leggings and a denim jacket is perfect for a chilly day. Next time you need some new ‘Cuse gear, skip spending crazy cash at the Bookstore and head over to 3fifteen.

The price you pay for the clothes is definitely worth the extra energy put into sifting through the racks. For college girls who have an eye for style, but don’t want to break the bank, 3fifteen is the perfect place for you.
