Everything You Need to Know About Mia Regan x Victoria Beckham

While 19-year-old model Mia Regan did not maintain her public three-year relationship with the Beckham's son, Romeo, she kept close ties with his famous mother, Victoria. Victoria Beckham, married to British soccer player David Beckham, is known for her career as a singer, designer, and model. In 2008, Beckham launched her clothing brand "Victoria Beckham" which included a range of easy and slim dresses. Since then, her line has expanded to include a variety of styles. In 2019, Mia was first introduced to the Beckhams when she started dating Romeo. As their relationship became public, Mia’s Instagram account started growing. From a young age, she used clothing as a form of expression; her Instagram succeeded because her style differed from other creators. Rather than following the "clean girl" aesthetic, she prefers to mix and match oversized and colorful pieces. As seen on Instagram, Mia has previously worked with brands such as YSL and Prada.
On October 27th, Victoria and Mia released their vintage-inspired denim collection on Victoria’s dedicated e-commerce site and her flagship on Dover Street. Mia spoke with Vogue and claimed that she and Victoria "have always been in conversation about fashion" and that she "always wanted to do something like this." Victoria allowed Mia’s creativity to flow and gave her full control of the design process. When Victoria spoke with Vogue she mentioned that she wanted to work with Mia because she "loves that she's fun and not afraid to try new things when it comes to her style, which is reflected in the capsule." The collection is composed of "easy denim silhouettes" in combination with "Mia's fashion-forward touch," as Victoria put it. Denim is a staple in both ladies' closets, and they love its versatility. Other basic pieces, such as simple white tops and denim vests, are also part of the collection.
While finding herself amid New York fashion week, Mia got the call that the collaboration was happening and headed straight to Goodwill to seek inspiration. Whenever Mia's in the U.S., she finds herself at Goodwill. This time around, she gathered pieces, including a retro denim jacket. Mia and Victoria found importance in ensuring that the collection properly reflected Mia's style. The silhouettes in the collection are inspired by the bell-sleeved jacket, worn in vintage denim and hand-me-downs from her mom. Furthermore, Mia wanted her collection to differ from others, so she included colorful pink and yellow stitching, leather patches, and her logo. Victoria is proud of their collaboration and was excited to announce that "the capsule is so entirely Mia."
Although Mia gained fame through her long relationship with Romeo Beckham, the model and influencer has fought hard to grow her career. Through her capsule with Victoria, the 19-year-old has proved her talent. There's no doubt she's passionate about the art of fashion, and it will be exciting to see what accomplishments she’ll make in the future.
