There is so much to celebrate for Devon Lee Carlson right now and it’s not just because she recently turned 27 (Happy birthday Dev!). Everyone’s favorite model/vlogger/fashion icon has joined forces with Marc Jacobs to create a new limited-edition capsule collection that totally screams DEVON LEE CARLSON! The selection of pieces for the collection completely embodies classic Y2k fashion and really shows off the qualities that make her her. She said in a statement that,” All of the pieces in this collaboration were designed to be worn in any setting, at home with slippers or out on the town with your most fun heels. Getting to design this collaboration has been such an honor and a dream that I’m trying to wake up from!” (...and this collab is a dream for all of us too!).
The line even features cartoon drawings of her dog Martin (The cutest!), bold shades of bubblegum pink and orange, and some of her own personal designs and drawings. The campaign was shot by photographer Conor Cunningham where the star shines in lace trimmed slips, nostalgic matching tracksuits, and infamous kitten heels. To make it even better (How could this possibly get any better?!), her dog makes quite a few guest appearances in some of the pictures making it known that she is a proud *Dog Mom*.
The collection’s price ranges from $80-$225 and offers a mix of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories that are 100% to die for! There are two handbag options (definitely my favorite from the collection!) that came from another Marc Jacobs handbag that Devon has had in her personal archives for years. The handbag was recreated in black and pink colorways which feature a chain strap and alphabet charms that spell out “Marc Jacobs”. The best part is that the chain can be removed to be worn as a necklace (LOVE the versatility).
Marc Jacob’s team said in a press release that,” having successfully partnered with her in the past on a limited-edition t-shirt, it was only natural for this relationship to evolve into a capsule collection designed to appeal to and flatter the range of young people in her audience”. They also went on to say,” Devon’s innate sense of style, creativity, and youthful spirit have made her a close friend and muse in the world of Marc Jacobs”. We couldn’t agree more!
After keeping the project under wraps for more than a year, she finally teased her new collection via Instagram that came with supportive comments from other *icons* such as Dua Lipa and Alexa Demie (Girl Crush Alert!!). The collection is available now at MarcJacobs.com and can be bought in store at the Marc Jacobs locations in New York City (Madison Ave) and Los Angeles (Melrose Pl). I don’t know about you, but I am definitely getting my hands on this collection before it sells out! *Fingers-crossed* for more Devon Lee Carlson x Marc Jacobs in the future. Can’t wait to see!
