Why Fall is the Season of Rewatch

There is something about the crisp air, pumpkin-flavored drinks, and the return of cozy sweaters that screams nostalgia. Fall calls for returning to things that evoke memories—Halloween traditions, apple picking, and, of course, comfort watches. Rewatches are here for anyone in need of comfort or who wants to escape into something that feels like home. Whether it’s Rory and Lorelai Gilmore sipping warm coffee at Luke's Diner, or Harry Potter starting school at Hogwarts, we have a list of rewatches for all.

The Ultimate Rewatch Guide

Shows:

Gilmore Girls (Netflix, Hulu)

The ultimate fall show. From Stars Hollow’s autumn leaves and Rory’s cable-knit sweaters to endless coffee runs at Luke’s Diner, Gilmore Girls is practically fall in TV form.

The Vampire Diaries (Max, Peacock)

From the foggy streets of Mystic Falls to constant small-town secrets and supernatural romances, The Vampire Diaries just feels like fall.

Gossip Girl (Max, Netflix)

Nothing captures fall in New York quite like Gossip Girl. Between Nate's runs through Central Park’s autumn leaves to Blair’s perfect fall coats and the drama? It never stops. Of course, nobody does Thanksgiving episodes like Gossip Girl.

One Tree Hill (Max, Hulu)

Between the fall basketball games, Karen’s cozy cafe and killer early-2000s soundtrack, One Tree Hill was made for fall rewatch. It's small-town coziness with just the right amount of drama and chaos.

Stranger Things

Between the flickering lights, 80s nostalgia and small-town mystery, nothing says spooky season like Stranger Things. Plus, with the new season’s first part dropping on Thanksgiving, there is no better time to rewatch than fall.

Movies:

The Twilight Saga (Disney+)

Foggy forests, supernatural drama, and of course, the Team Edward versus Team Jacob debate— Twilight is the perfect fall nostalgia. Nothing beats grabbing a cozy blanket and rewatching the series on a rainy, relaxing day.

Good Will Hunting (Paramount+, Hulu)

Moody Boston streets and heartfelt moments that just feel like fall. It’s nostalgic, emotional, which somehow gets better with every rewatch.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, (Max, Peacock)

Although all of the Harry Potter movies deserve a rewatch, The Prisoner of Azkaban is the one that captures the magic of fall in Hogwarts. From Hagrid’s pumpkin patch to the wool sweaters worn, it’s pure autumn comfort with the perfect amount of mystery.

Little Women (2019), (Hulu, Prime Video)

The March sisters perfectly encapsulate the essence of fall—cozy sweaters, candlelit dances, and heartfelt sisterhood. From Jo and Laurie's heart-wrenching fight on the autumn field to the warmth of the March family gatherings, Little Women captures the essence of the fall season.

Hocus Pocus (Disney+)

There is no fall rewatch marathon without Hocus Pocus. Fall in Salem with the Sanderson sisters is all about cozy chaos—black cats, spooky magic, and Halloween nostalgia you can never forget.

Grab your blanket and cozy sweater, light a fall candle, and get ready for the perfect fall show and movie marathon. After all, fall is the season of nostalgia. These rewatches are the perfect pair.
