PCCB is the New PSL
The leaves are falling and our need for pumpkin spice is rising.

Picture this: you wake up on a chilly Friday morning with a pounding headache and a face full of last night's makeup. You are in DIRE need of a coffee to fill you up with those warm fall vibes. You sprint to Starbucks before class, but this time, not for PSL. That’s so 2019. We drink iced coffees now. You have got to get yourself a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. It will fix all of your life problems. Seriously, it will.
It all started back in quarantine. The only thing keeping me sane was my weekly trip to the Starbucks drive-thru. Once fall came around, I was craving a pumpkin spice latte; but when Starbucks announced that they have a new fall drink, I was dying to try it. The moment I took my first sip of a PCCB, my entire life changed. It was love at first sip. If you’re a coffee connoisseur and love all things fall, this is the drink for you.
The typical Pumpkin Spice Latte has become too boring and bland. It doesn’t even give fall vibes anymore. We were in need of an upgrade bursting with pumpkin flavor, and that is exactly what PCCB gave us. It has the perfect amount of cinnamon and nutmeg spice, but best of all it has that powerful kick of pumpkin we have been craving. I swear the pumpkin cream cold foam has literal crack in it. I can put it on top of anything and it would instantly make it taste 10x better. But it doesn’t stop there. The fall colors make it so aesthetically pleasing and give you a great pic to show off on your insta story.
But, be warned, if the barista says they are out of cold brew but can make it with iced coffee instead, do NOT get it, or you will be severely disappointed. I have made this mistake many times hoping for the best, and it lets me down every time. Trust me. Now, if you still need to get a drink to get yourself into the fall mood, do not resort to a PSL. But no need to panic, I’ve got a backup for when your barista gives you that heartbreaking news.
Since cold brew is a newfound favorite (as it should), I had to get creative in order to satiate my pumpkin cold foam craving. It’s not the same as a PCCB, but it’s pretty close. I wasn’t going to share my secret backup order with anyone, but it’s too good not to. Order an iced brown sugar shaken espresso with the pumpkin cream cold foam on top. I know it’s a mouth full, but it is so worth it.
PSL will always have a special place in our hearts. It’s what started our obsession with Starbucks in the first place, but it is definitely time for an upgrade. I mean, after all, it is 2021. This is hot girl fall, not Christian girl autumn. Starbucks' creation of PCCB elevated us from basic bitch to basic bitch, with a little more spice.
