Demi Lovato is back in the spotlight, and this time she is serving up a comeback era that blends nostalgia with something totally new. From her upcoming pop album, It’s Not That Deep, to her new role as executive producer of Camp Rock 3, Lovato isn’t just revisiting her roots; she’s reinventing them.

For the past couple of years, Lovato has explored the heavy rock genre,  like with her songs “Holy Fvck” and “Revamped”. Her new singles, though, “Fast” and “Here All Night”, clearly show that she is ready to come back home to pop. Lovato’s upcoming album “It’s Not That Deep” is expected to drop Oct. 24 2025, leaning into vibrant, high-energy pop that feels lighter and liberating.

Lovato explained in more recent interviews that leaving the rock sound behind was intentional, as she is now seeking music that better reflects the joy she has in her current stage of life. For fans, this is not just a sonic shift, but proof that Lovato is making authentic moves driven by her personal desires, rather than outside pressures. She is creating in the best and most inspiring way: on her own terms. 

Producing A Nostalgic Revival 

Lovato Demi isn’t just looking forward; she’s also tapping into the past. Camp Rock 3 is officially happening, and while Lovato is not yet slated to return in the film, she has solidified her part in shaping the project behind the scenes. Even without reprising her role as Mitchie Torres, Lovato’s influence as an executive producer will ensure that the story reflects both the nostalgic magic of the original and the evolution viewers have been waiting for. We’re obsessed with this full circle moment: the girl who once starred in one of Disney’s breakout music movies is now helping to steer its revival.
