The hottest week in Miami is here. The Sports Illustrated hosted event of Miami Swim Week captured twenty models, including 7 rookies, who strutted the runway showing off the beautiful looks for this summers beachwear. With Alix Earle opening the show and faces including Camille Kostek, Brooks Nader, Xandra Pohl, Kamie Crawford and my personal favorite, Ellie Thumann, this week left fans stunned.
Alix Earle
Our social media icon, Alix Earle, made the cover girl for Sports Illustrator Magazine, but she doesn’t stop there. With more dreams coming true, Alix, a rookie, opened up the Miami Swim Week 2024! Wearing a Sommer Swim turquoise blue bikini with long blonde beach waves, Alix delivered a confident walk with a smile that truly showed us a glimpse of her personality and excitement to be there. On the red carpet, she stayed true with the same turquoise wearing a Cult Gaia crop top and low rise wrap around skirt.
The Earle Sisters In The Spotlight
This surreal sister experience was so cute! Alix and Ashtin wore coordinating Bond-Eye black and white sets with a high rise bottom and cropped tops. Their mini me’s, Izabel and Penelope, twinned in bright pink one-pieces by Hunza G. On her podcast, Hot Mess, Alix says, “I was so excited the first time going out, but then the second time I went around, I got to go out with my sisters, which was so, so, incredible…” She soon revealed to her followers that she had to take a shot of tequila before the first walk out to calm her nerves, and that’s just why we love her.
Xandra Pohl
Her second year back, Xandra is not a rookie no more. Last year, she was invited to DJ the event and ended the night with strutting the runway. She wore a really cute Bareminimale bikini with the iconic name of the Carrie Bradshaw top and bottom. Now for the tea… Miami influencers Xandra and Alix had a red carpet reunion which caught everyone by surprise. Their breakup has been talked about on Hot Mess but never mentioned by Xandra, and now their picture left fans confused over their current friendship status.
Ellie Thumann
Influencer and model, Ellie Thumann, joined the SI Swimsuit family in 2023, posing for her rookie feature in Puerto Rico. Strutting in a red heart-shaped set from Amor Mia and another bright blue set from Knix, these looks truly tapped into her own personal fun style. She accessorized her looks with chunky bangles and arm jewlery.

Now let’s talk fashion. The swimwear was hotter than ever, with bikinis, one pieces, and cover ups all coming together for a fabulous look. What I love the most about the crochet or hand stitched pieces is that theres so many different styles of them. The creativity from designers or even if you want a new summer hobby, nothing screams beach more than crochet in the summer. A cover up style that was seen a lot was the usage of silk scarves; the headscarf and sunglass duo, wrapped around as a sarong, and even as a top. Vibrant colors like turquoise, gorgeous greens, and hues of red stood out for sure, along with floral pieces. From string bead details to belly chains, body jewelry and bikini accessories changes wearing an outfit to styling a cool outfit.
On the red carpet, brands like Asta Resort and Cult Gaia were seen with various trends. Still with the vibrant and fun colors, with a twist of sequins, sheerness, and knitwear. Maxi dresses, halter styles, two piece sets were the focus of these looks.
