Sabrina Carpenter is emerging as one of the hottest pop sensations of this decade, labeled by her fans as a real life “polly pocket” and known for simply being that girl. Starting her career as a Disney Channel actress, Carpenter is now most known for her angelic voice, feminine style, and raunchy “Nonsense” outros. Her 2022 album, “Emails I Can’t Send,” coupled with a very public love triangle scandal, laid the perfect groundwork for her new “Short n’ Sweet” album that was released in August of 2024. Carpenter’s first stadium tour kicked off on September 23 in Columbus, Ohio; the world now has all eyes on her, and her perfect hair.

Carpenter’s setlist includes all 12 songs off her latest album and nine of her older songs, starting off strong with the popular single “Taste.” In the later half of 2023 and beginning of 2024, Carpenter also opened for Taylor Swift’s Ears Tour at 25 shows in Latin America, Australia, and Singapore. If you’re anything like me (a huge Swiftie), you know about the surprise song portion of the Eras Tour. So, during Carpenter’s first Short n’ Sweet show, fans were introduced to a similar concept. On stage, Sabrina plays a round of her very own game of spin the bottle to decide what additional song she’ll cover that night, the first one being “Mama Mia” by ABBA. Could she be any cooler?

From what we’ve seen so far, the best way to describe the vibes of this tour would be a slumber party with your best friends. Her outfits consist of babydoll pink nightgowns, feather boas, 70s hairdos, and dazzling mini dresses. We already know that Carpenter plans on blessing us all with new outfits at every single show. The entire branding of this tour is unique and cohesive, from her outfits to the stage graphics to the entire set design, Carpenter is single handedly bringing back that old Hollywood glamor we all adore so much.

I mean come on, “Your car drove itself from LA to her thighs;” Carpenter is a lyrical genius who has an innate and unique ability to perfectly capture the trials and tribulations of dating as a young woman today. All we can say for now is that a Short n’ Sweet show is sure to leave you wanting more of that me espresso.
