Keeping Up with Kim and Kourtney

A breakdown of their beef.

Sisters arguing is nothing new, but when the cameras are constantly rolling, we can't help but analyze the relationship between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. Although the beef has been squashed lets review. The two reality stars are still feuding after four seasons of The Kardashians and 20 seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Recently, their never-ending arguments have stemmed from Kim partnering with Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana after Kourtney’s Italian wedding was sponsored by D&G, but this timeline precedes long before that.

From Kourtney refusing to be in Kim's iconic mobile app game in 2015 to Kim calling Kourtney the "least exciting to look at" in 2018, it's safe to say these two would not be friends if they weren't sisters. I think we can all agree that their physical altercation in 2020, which set the internet ablaze, is enough to solidify that. To jog your memory, the Kardashian sisters began arguing over work ethics, which resulted in the two fighting and Kim's foundation being left plastered on the wall… it was intense.

Delving deeper into the feud between Kim and Kourt, season 3 of The Kardashians revolved around the infamous Kim and D&G collab. After Kourtney tied the knot with Travis Barker in Portofino, Italy, with a Dolce-inspired wedding, Kim then worked with the brand. To say Kourt was upset is an understatement, as all ten episodes of Season 3 revolved around their dispute.

Fast forwarding to Season 4, the first episode started off with a bang. Kim and Kourtney had the most jaw-dropping phone call–even I felt uncomfortable watching. It was 5 minutes of pure feuding, which resulted in Kourtney backing out of their family vacation. The cause of this argument was–you guessed it– Kim's D&G collab. Kourtney called Kim's "selfish" and "egotistical," Kim claimed Kourtney hates her, and Kourtney said she doesn't need her family anymore. It was a lot. But what really set the bar low was when Kim brought Kourt's kids into the argument, saying they came to her to talk about their mom and Kim claiming they have a group chat labeled "Not Kortney" to talk about her behind her back.

As someone who doesn't have a sister but witnesses and hears the stories of friends who do, it's safe to say their conflict isn't something out of the ordinary nor something we should be concerned about. Whether it's over borrowed clothes, simply being in each other's space, or Dolce & Gabbana Italian weddings, disagreements are common.
