For those not keeping up with the “Watermelon Sugar High” singer, let me set you straight and give you the 411.
Harry Styles was spotted with rumored fling Taylor Russell —fashion’s rising It Girl most famous for her Bones and All role with Timothée Chalamet — at a U2 concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas, sporting a whole new hairdo: a fresh-looking buzz cut.
First, you are in for a treat if you haven't seen the video. There was not a lock of hair in sight.
It still remains unclear when and why Styles decided to chop off those luscious curls. People Magazine said he was last seen publicly in September with his former ‘do. However, we know one thing for sure: fans are not happy.
Fans have taken it upon themselves to express their feelings on social media, and they are not supportive of Style’s decision. Sorry, Harry!
As spotted in Glamour magazine, one fan posted a video on TikTok detailing the only thing they wanted on their Christmas wish list was Harry Styles getting back his sexy locks. Comments included, “I thought this day would never come” and “someone go buy him miracle grow.” Someone please let me know what tf miracle grow is.
Another fan posted on the platform X, “goodbye goodbye goodbye u were bigger than the whole sky,” a reference to Taylor Swift’s “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” on Midnights. Let’s also not forget that Taylor and Harry were ex-lovers lol.
Drastic hair transformations are often signs of much needed change in one’s life. Take for instance Lexi Grey, who dyed her hair brunette to blonde in season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy after ending things with Mark Sloan (AKA McSteamy). Or, outside the tv world, Brittney Spears, who shaved her head back in 2007 when under a nasty divorce and heat from the paparazzi.
That leads us to the question…Is Harry Styles ok?
We think it’s safe to assume yes, since evidence has pointed out that Styles has made a dramatic hair change before to portray the typical look of a 1940s soldier in the 2017 film Dunkirk. After a similar fan outcry, Styles shared, “We had to make the chop.” “I felt very naked. But it was good! It’s very breezy.” So, maybe now he just seeks the desire to feel the breeze on his head? With this information, fans speculate Styles’s buzz cut might be for a new movie role.
Another reason for the radical change could be that his birthday is on the horizon. The star might have chosen to enter his 30th birthday, on February 1, with a statement. I’m not good at math, but I know that is still a couple months from now. Any who, whatever the reason, we have to accept it and move forward with our lives. I mean hair usually grows back in one to two months, so we don’t have to accept it permanently. Let’s mark our calendars until then.
