Do we have to keep an eye out for Selener?

Whenever we think about our childhood crush, Justin Bieber, it’s hard to not think of Selena Gomez as his counterpart. We all wanted to be the one less lonely girl, and Selena was America’s sweetheart growing up—it was hard NOT to like them together. 

As we got older (and were still Beliebers), we stayed obsessed with Justin’s relationship with Selena, even after they parted ways. Naturally, being in the spotlight made it difficult for either of them and their significant others to grow. Justin married model Hailey Baldwin in 2018, but people still flooded their socials with, “he and Selena are still going to be endgame,” and, “Hailey’s just a phase,” and when Selena had to get a kidney transplant, it somehow was made about her and Justin’s past relationship: “Is Justin by her side?!” 

It’s been about four years since Justin and Hailey tied the knot, and the Selena comments have slowly faded away. Girl bosses persevere. Hailey has moved past constant comments about her husband’s past relationship and is not just a supermodel, but an influencer and entrepreneur who has become everyone’s favorite it-girl. She has so much impact on today’s fashion, wellness, and beauty worlds.

Hailey Bieber’s chrome nails. Hailey Bieber’s slicked-back bun. Hailey Bieber’s Erewhon smoothie… these are just a few of the trends she has set this year! She has become a Youtube sensation with nearly two million subscribers and is best known for her series where she brings other influential people to her bathroom, which sounds odd, but we love it. 

In case you missed it, unfortunately, Hailey did suffer from a mini-stroke this past March, which did not stop her from launching her line: Rhode Skincare, and BTW, it’s been entirely sold out.

Justin is still everyone's favorite heartthrob (he’s aging so well) and instead of being upset that he’s officially off the market, everyone is obsessed with his relationship with Hailey. I mean like who doesn’t want your husband to post a solo pic of you captioning “YOU ARE SO ADORABLE BABY” and a love letter to you on Instagram. It is so clear that they have so much love for each other. Society has moved on from Jelena… that’s soooo 2010. We do still love Selena though.

In other news, is Justin okay?! This past June, he announced that he had to cancel his Justice tour dates for June and July and posted a very vivid video of his face half paralyzed. This time around, fans aren’t bombarding his comment section about Selena and her nonexistent role, but being genuinely concerned for his well-being. Justin is now recovering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which is a virus that caused his paralysis.
