Model, political activist, mother, author—if you know her you LOVE her—Miss Emily Ratajkowski recently started a podcast called High Low with EmRata, today being its one month anniversary. With two new episodes airing every week, Ratajkowski aims to discuss a variety of topics. Every Tuesday she hosts fellow celebrities, close friends, and acquaintances while discussing anything from current news to pop culture matters. However on Thursdays, she talks about happenings in the world right now that offer important thoughts for one’s day-to-day routine.

Ratajkowski is recently divorced from ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McCloud, a film producer, who allegedly cheated on her multiple times. The pair were married for four years before Emily decided to file for divorce, and they have one son together, Sly. Since their split, rumors have circulated surrounding the famous model and actress and who she was seeing. One of them happened to be Brad Pitt. According to the episodes already released, she has been going on dates! Emily also released her New York Times bestselling book “My Body” last year, which is a reflection of female sexuality and commodity in the eyes of men, and how women can still feel empowered despite that.

Ratajkowski’s podcast has already featured the queen of podcasting herself, Alex Cooper of CHD. The iconic pair spent most of the episode speaking on their careers and the lens that most everyone viewed them from because of the way their careers took off. Emily Ratajkowski was sexualized from a young age through modeling, and Alex Cooper has always been known to be “hyper-sexual” due to the topics she has discussed on Call Her Daddy (never forget the infamous Gluck Gluck 9000). EmRata and Cooper spoke on how they have had to work through these perceptions of themselves, as well as how they’ve been active in the realm of politics.

Ratajkowski is known for speaking her mind on topics she feels passionate towards and attending protests, while Alex Cooper did an episode on the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which was more of a pivot for her. Cooper revealed how many people whom she worked with told her not to start speaking on politics, since she has always been recognized as the girl who just talks a lot about sex. EmRata praised Alex for her good journalistic skills with the episode on the abortion ban, and how well articulated she was with the sensitive topic. Additionally, Cooper expressed how she felt consistent pressure from guys when hooking up; she always felt like there were certain expectations for her performance level in bed. Sex became something stressful for her in a way that shouldn’t have been. This was something Cooper had to work through and grow from, and now she’s in a seemingly happy relationship with boyfriend Matt Kaplan, a producer.

Actress and model Julia Fox also spent an episode on Emily’s podcast. The prior dominatrix is always interesting to listen to, and Fox and Ratajkowski talked about everything from motherhood and raising their sons to embracing the male gaze that is and has been put upon both of them. Emily’s son Sly and Fox’s son Valentino are each one year old. The duo opened up to each other on their views of the traditional nuclear family in today’s society, and how they sense a bit of a shift in that, with more people raising their kids in partnership with friends instead of through someone they’re involved romantically. Julia has many friends and people surrounding her to help raise Valentino, and Emiy is currently co-parenting Sly with her girl best friend, something she is very happy with. Fox even revealed to Ratajkowski how she doesn’t like sex, and feels that she doesn’t get much out of it. Fox also touched on how she has built her way up through the system of sexual commodification by embracing it and using it as a form of hustle, even though it is hard for her to look back on the more difficult aspects of her past.

Emily Ratajkowski and friends are already providing us with thought-provoking discourse on politics, the inner lives of celebrity moguls, and the different facets of sexualization. If I were you, I would definitely consider adding this podcast to my weekly rotation!
