The prime time for retail therapy

Let’s be honest, any shopping day (online or in-store) feels instantly better when there’s a sale.

Imagine this: you’re scrolling online, filling your cart with all the appliances and furniture you need to make your new room feel like home, only to realize… it’s all way too expensive. Now, picture the relief of landing on Amazon during the best time of the year — Prime Day. Suddenly, you’re scrolling through deals that don’t send you, or your bank account, into a spiral. Now that’s retail therapy at its finest.

This summer, on July 8 through July 11, Amazon had exclusive offers for Prime customers on anything from furniture and trendy going-out clothes to electronic devices and fashion accessories. Amazon has it all, and with faster shipping, you are guaranteed to have your items way before you need them.

Prime Day made a big impact this year — even on me. My TikTok For You Page was filled with Prime Day shopping inspiration, and I couldn’t escape it. So, I figured I'd share a few of my favorite finds from last week, from school must-haves to work staples…and everything in between.

Ninja CREAMi

One thing I miss most when I’m at school is having easy access to healthy frozen desserts. With the Ninja CREAMi, I can whip up smoothies, banana whips and ice cream right in my own kitchen. When I saw it on sale, I knew I had to splurge — it’ll save me plenty of late-night trips to Marshall Street Frozen Yogurt.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop+

Although there are so many places to get an iced or hot latte in Syracuse, my daily coffee habit adds up fast. With this one-time purchase, I can make top-tier coffee whenever I want. I’ve always been a Nespresso fan, so when I came across this steal, I had to capitalize.

Heart Hands Throw Pillow

Amazon is home to so many great throw pillows that can elevate any space. For this school year, I wanted to add a pop of color to my bed, so I went with this Heart Hands Throw Pillow, which retails for $27. I can’t wait to see how it looks when my room is all put together!

Bathroom Organizer

If you’re anything like me, you probably keep plenty of products stocked in your bathroom. I wanted something clean and classy to keep everything organized, so I got these movable organizers to hold my essentials. I can’t wait to put them to use.

Kindle Unlimited

This was probably the purchase I was most excited about. I love reading, especially on my Kindle. When I saw I could get three free months of Kindle Unlimited, I had to take the deal. I read year-round, so saving money on three months of books will definitely pay off in the long run. Kindle Unlimited offers thousands of titles at discounted prices — or even for free — depending on your membership. If you’re an avid reader, this is worth checking out!
