The First Tastes of Fall

Beverages sure to fulfill your autumnal aesthetic.

by GIANNA DAVIS ★ OCTOBER 20, 2022

As the seasons change, our tastes are ready for something new, something revisited, and something so very missed. It’s officially time to get your girls together and kick off this fall with a night of preparing and enjoying these *aesthetic* and tasteful autumn cocktails (and mocktails!).

From apple and pumpkin to cinnamon and sage, our favorite classic fall flavors shine through these cocktails. No matter what mood you’re in, these ideas will leave you wishing it was fall all year round (that is if you don’t already).

Who Doesn’t Love Margs?

Apple Cider Margarita - Add tequila, triple sec, and lime juice to apple cider. Then, dress the rim in cinnamon and sugar.

Spicy Blood Orange Margarita - Add tequila, triple sec, and lime juice to blood orange juice. To make it spicy, add jalapeno slices or jalapeno syrup. For a little garnish, top it off with a blood orange slice.

Let’s Keep it Simple… A Twist On the Classics:

Cranberry Mojito - Stir cranberry juice into lemon-lime sparkling water. Add in rum and some lime juice. Then, top it off with mint leaves and a slice of lime.

Apple Cider Long Island - Stir triple sec, white rum, gin, and vodka into mixed apple cider and lemon-lime sparkling water.

Apple Cider Shanty - Simply combine apple cider and your favorite beer.

Caramel Spiked Cider - Combine caramel vodka with apple cider and, trust me, it will taste just like a caramel apple.

Cider Mule - Combine ginger beer, apple cider, and pomegranate vodka.

If You’re Feeling Fancy:

Aperol and Blood Orange Mint Spritz - Continue your summer high by splashing Aperol into Prosecco. Make it fall-ish by adding some blood orange juice and a garnish of mint sprig.

Cranberry Sage Campari Soda - Add Compari into sparkling water with cranberry juice. Garnish with sage and cranberries if you’re feeling it.

Hold on! We all know we can have fun without alcohol. For girl’s nights in or just treating yourselves, mocktails are always a yes in our book. Many of the above cocktails can be created without alcohol, but if you’re looking for something different, we’ve got you covered too:

For some fizz:

Apple Ginger Bubbles - Combine apple cider and ginger ale. Then, add a dash of apple cider vinegar and some lime juice. Finish the flavor by adding powdered cinnamon and mint leaves.

To quench that summer taste:

Sparkling Rosemary Limeade - in sparkling water, add lime juice and a dash of sugar. Drop in some rosemary sprigs and stir.

To get warmed up:

Gingered Hot Cider - add ginger tea bags or ginger shavings into warmed apple cider

This fall, let’s come together and celebrate each other. We all deserve to treat ourselves to a special pregame or a relaxed night in with these fall-festive, *chefs kiss* cocktails and mocktails. Whatever you’re feeling, text the group chat, and tell the girls this is the new plan.
