SYRACUSE, NY, Dec. 1, 2017 – University Girl Magazine is hosting a shoppable launch party in honor of the magazine’s premiere print edition. On Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, Syracuse students are invited to view University Girl’s first print publication, shop various fashion vendors and enjoy food from local establishments. The event is hosted in the Schine Student Center, room 304, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Since its launch on April 3, 2017, University Girl’s presence has existed solely online through its website, universitygirlsu.com, and its Instagram profile, @universitygirlsu. According to Tayler Bradford, UGirl’s creator and editor-in-chief, “We wanted to begin the transition from online to print media about six months ago. It is amazing to see my vision take form, and I feel blessed to have such a creative team collaborating with me.” University Girl Magazine is dedicated to providing relatable and inspirational content to college girls who aspire to be confident, fearless, career oriented and trendsetting.

For its launch event, the Syracuse University affiliated magazine has partnered with the popular clothing store, Mixology Clothing Company. Launched in 2009, Mixology has established itself as one of New York’s most successful brick and mortar and online fashion retailers. Clothing from the brand is available for purchase during the event. Jordan Edwards, the CEO and president of Mixology Clothing Company, explains, “We at Mixology Clothing Company are thrilled to be supporting Tayler and her team at University Girl Magazine.” Other participating vendors include Beachside Bikinis, a company owned by an SU student that provides custom handmade bikinis and jewelry, and Candy Rox, a New York based candy store.

The event offers four gift baskets from Express Clothing, Original Grain, Burn Kickboxing and Breathe Yoga. Food is provided by Insomnia Cookies, Joe’s Pizza and Awake Chocolate.

A $2 donation is encouraged upon entry, which includes one raffle ticket. Cash and Venmo (@universitygirlsu) will be accepted.
